BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PLANT AND ITS PRESENCE

Juan de Alonso grows in the Andes at the altitude of 2000 to 3500 meters above the sea level. It is an annual plant that grows up to 30 cm high. The intensely branched stems have sharp yellow spikes. The top part of leaves is dark green, the bottom part is white/gray and covered with bloom.

The decoction from Juan de Alonso thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties is used to fight infections of the urinary ducts, bladder, urine retention, ovary inflammation, birth canal inflammation, kidney and prostate inflammation, as well as bone inflammation. Moreover, it is used in case of illnesses of the upper airways, fever, chronic liver disorder, stomach, spleen, and kidneys. It is used for gripes, cramps, and is used as support for cancers. According to the Peruvian tradition it is also used for coping with alcohol and tobacco addiction.

USE AND MOST COMMON DOSAGE

3-6 g of the dried plant (careful with the spikes) pour over with 700 ml water, cook over small fire 5-10 minutes since boiling. Drain. Drink three times a day.


WARNING

The usage should not last longer than 2 months.
Woman who have difficulty getting pregnant are recommended to drink Juan de Alonso and Maca .
